Starfleet Command are responsible for overseeing Starfleet and all that it does, as well as making sure all missions and tasks performed by the fleet are done so smoothy. From coordinating away teams to performing diplomacy or law, Command has a wide range of positions to choose from.
Away Team Coordinators specialise in doing exactly as the title suggests. They make sure away teams get the resources they need, as well as coordinate them with the bridge or command deck to make sure everything goes smoothly and according to plan.
A Crew Resources Officer is Starfleet's version of HR, except with more than just Humans being taken into consideration. They listen to complaints and concerns personnel have, and they make sure everyone has what they need and that their voices are heard.
A Morale Officer is charged with keeping the crew's morale up, from listening to people to organising social events for people to partake in.
A Media or Press Liaison Officer is responsible for making sure the press and general public get the information they need, that Starfleet has approved for them to know. They compile information when requested by the press, provided it isn't classified, and sometimes send out information packages for the media to report on if they so wish. While they do not speak for the entirety of Starfleet, they work closely with HQ to make sure the information that people have the right to know can be known.
Mission Specialists specialise in organising missions and making sure they go smoothly. They work closely with Away Team Coordinators.
A Fleet Liaison Officer is responsible for liaising with the fleet as a whole, making sure everything on their posting is coordinated with what other postings are doing.
A Diplomatic Corps Attaché acts as a diplomat on behalf of Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets.
Helmsmen, or Conn Officers, are highly skilled pilots capable of flying Starfleet ships of various classes. They usually start out as Shuttlecraft Pilots and further their training later in their career. Shuttlecraft Pilots, although not qualified to fly large craft, are also highly skilled pilots who are capable of flying shuttlecraft of various classes. They frequently assist in away missions, shuttling cargo and persons to their destination, as well as, on occasion, in combat.
A JAG (Judge Attorney General) Corps Officer is, for all intents and purposes, a Starfleet lawyer. Trained in law, they represent Starfleet on a legal level, as well as its personnel during court martials, and civilians when they request a lawyer if being charged with a crime by Starfleet Security.
